Pet Portraits: A painted piece of a furry friend to be cherished.

What better way  to celebrate a beloved family pet than to capture them in a timeless piece of art? Pet portraits make for the perfect gift or as an addition to your own home - a unique and personal artwork to be enjoyed for generations to come. Whether recording a special moment, capturing your companion’s character, or celebrating their life, a pet portrait is a must-have for any animal lover. 

Your pet portrait should be personal, and so before the work begins, you can discuss exactly how you would like your commission to come to life with Jessica.

So what is the process? 

• Please get in touch via our contact form or via email (jessicaandertondesigns@gmail.com) and choose your canvas size! The standard portrait size is 30 x 30cm (Price: £300), however you do not have to decide on a size right away. Jessica would be happy to discuss what will work best for your portrait & designated space, and will send you a quote based on this size.  
• Forward your favourite images of your pet! Jessica works from one main image but it is often helpful to receive multiple pictures to ensure the colouring and markings are true to life. For best results, please send images that are high quality and in natural lighting. 
• Once images are received, Jessica will go over the best size and image to use for the portrait, and will send a digital mock-up to ensure you are happy with the final composition. To secure your commission, Jessica asks for a 50% deposit, with the balance due on completion. Portraits take between 2-3 weeks to finish, however if the portrait is for a special occasion/ particular date, Jessica will do her best to complete this in time!
• Jessica will send you a final image for approval. Once the rest of the balance and shipping fees are paid, your portrait will be shipped using a next day guaranteed delivery service.

So, how much does a pet portrait cost? The 30 x 30cm canvas size is a total of £300 (plus postage), however if you have another size in mind, this can be discussed with Jessica at your consultation. Your pet portrait can be any size you would like, so both smaller and larger commissions are available.
